Jennifer Gibson, an award-winning author from Warkworth, Ontario has been officially named a HearStrong Champion from the HearStrong Foundation (Syracuse, NY). Not shy about her hearing impairment, she continues to inspire people with her determination to live out her dreams.  A former ice hockey player and martial artist with two black belts, she has set her sights on fencing in Foil and Sabre at two clubs in Peterborough and Kingston.

HeartStrong Champion!

Oh my! I just received the news this morning that I've been named a HearStrong Champion! Perfect timing too, it's such a nice Christmas present for me ;)

News release:

We are proud to name Jennifer Gibson a HearStrong Champion! Jennifer is the author of a trilogy series of books about a young woman named Jessie who has hearing loss and overcomes many obstacles.

Jennifer's dedication to helping change the stigmas surrounding hearing loss makes her pretty amazing!
