There have been lots of lovely reviews for Sway, the first novel in the trilogy series featuring a hearing impaired teen. It seems to be reaching people of all ages and connecting with the readers on a personal level which is simply amazing! Even though they may not have a hearing loss, they knew of someone else in the family that just lost their hearing or just wanted to learn what it's like to be hard of hearing in a hearing world.
What's beautiful about the series is it's unique ability to give the readers a chance to walk a mile in Jessie's shoes and live in her world for a short while. It becomes an educational treat to experience a different lifestyle and feel the effects of other people's reaction to her disability. Some embrace it and treat her like a normal teen, while others do everything they can to make her feel undesirable.
The second book in the series, Compass, has been released and we are currently searching for dependable, dedicated bloggers and reviewers to help promote it. This novel contains a much bigger and grandeur adventure where Jessie competes in tournaments and teaches at summer camp. It's a wild ride and it's not over yet.
If you are interested in featuring Compass on your website or would love to do an interview, please send a note via http://www.jennifergibson.ca/contact-us.php
Looking forward to hearing from you!
By the way, here's a snippet of a new review I received for Sway:
"Sway is a beautifully written story that has a moral lesson. I recommend the book to all. Teachers should use Sway to help students understand disabilities and bullying. Parents should read it with their children to help them understand as well. I see this book as a great teaching tool."
