Coffee and chocolate

Writers have all sorts of tools to help them with their creative writing process. For some of us, it's sipping hot cups of coffee, nibbling on chocolate, listening to head-bopping music or having a scented candle nearby. It's not an easy task to sit down, stare at a blank piece of paper and pray that the pen magically starts writing as if we were at Hogwarts. We're not wizards, we can't snap our fingers and presto! a chapter suddenly appears. It's a long and arduous process. And sometimes, great ideas and fantastic conversations pop in our heads at the most inopportune time such as in the middle of a shower. Sometimes you'll find me scrambling for a pen and paper to quickly jot down those rare moments of inspiration.
Thankfully, I usually have a notebook and pen nearby. I've learned the hard way that it's easier to write it down by hand than rely on using the computer. The words seem to flow better with this method and it suits me quite well. There have been numerous times where I'm on my hands and knees looking for an outlet to plug in the computer quickly before the battery dies or having to shut it down due to an approaching storm. There's nothing worse than having those idea vanish during unexpected surprises or distractions.
Authors are generally very supportive of each other, we tend to be as thick as thieves. We are a pretty tight knit community. It wouldn't be possible to showcase our books without the help of our kind and generous bloggers, reviewers and supportive readers. I've been very fortunate to have such great fans. These wonderful authors have kindly provided lovely comments about my books and featured me on their blogs. Go check out their website and cool books.
